Common questions.

Yes. All electrical work in NYC requires a DOB permit filed by a licensed electrician. Even adding a single circuit requires a permit.

NYC requires EMT conduit for all wiring inside walls. Romex, standard everywhere else, is not permitted in NYC. Long Island allows Romex, which affects pricing.

Electrical work: 1-2 days. Con Edison meter scheduling: 2-6 weeks. We file the application immediately at contract signing.
